New details emerge about wreck involving Assistant Travis County D.A.

New details have surfaced and new photographs have been released of an accident scene related to an Assistant Travis County District Attorney's DWI arrest.

Brandon Grunewald is charged with DWI after Austin Police arrested him Sunday afternoon.  Grunewald refused a breath test and a blood test the day of the crash. Police booked him into The Travis County Jail, saying his eyes were watery and bloodshot and his speech was slurred. They also said he was lying to officers when they questioned him. According to his arrest affidavit, Grunewald smashed his Land Rover into a Mini Cooper at the intersection of Barton Skyway and the southbound Mopac feeder road.  Photographs show the back of the Mini Cooper smashed in.   According the vicitm's lawyer, the driver was taken to the emergency room and doctors diagnosed her with a concussion.  One of her passengers also suffered injuries.  The vicitm tells KVUE  Grunewald tried to blame the crash on her and asked her several times not to call police.
