Gun range offers free CHL to teachers


The idea of arming teachers with guns in schools is a topic getting a lot of attention since the tragedy in Newtown, Conn. A Katy gun range is offering anyone affiliated with a school the chance to learn how to use a gun and get a concealed handgun license for free.

But, should teachers be allowed to carry guns in schools? The idea has gotten support from Gov. Rick Perry and second amendment supporters.

"You should be able to carry your handgun anywhere in this state," Perry said.

Gayle Fallon of the Houston Teachers Union has a different opinion.
