Black film-maker sparks controversy by wearing Ku Klux Klan robes in public

A black film-maker has caused controversy after he appeared in public dressed as a Ku Klux Clan member to publicize his new documentary and highlight gun violence.

Sixx King, 35, wore the white robe and hood to make his argument that while the KKK killed 3,446 black people in its 86 years of existence - gun violence in the African-American community kills that number in six months across the U.S.

King stood among commuters in downtown Philadelphia on Tuesday morning to highlight the shocking statistics.
