Dallas County Sheriff's conduct driver's license checkpoint


Several FOX4 viewers asked via Facebook about an immigration checkpoint in the southeast part of Dallas county.

It became a major talking point with close to 300,000 people getting involved in the discussion.    

As it turns out, Dallas County Sheriff's deputies were at the intersection of I-20 and St. Augustine.

The department's spokesperson confirmed it was a checkpoint to verify that drivers' have their driver's license.
