A 49-year-old man riding a motorcycle died after crashing into a guardrail on Interstate 35 Sunday morning, according to Austin Police officials.
The man, who has not been named pending the notification of his family, was driving the motorcycle north on I-35 just north of Parmer Lane in North Austin when he drifted toward the side of the road and crash about 9 a.m. Sunday, police said. He was taken to St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center where he was pronounced dead about 9:40 a.m., police said.
No other vehicles or people were involved in the crash, police said.
Police narrowed the northbound side of highway for part of the morning to a single lane, but it is now open.
