An early morning robbery over the weekend at a McDonald's in far south Austin has police hoping to catch the suspects before they can escalate their violence. Lieutenant Michael Eveleth says two men held up the place and one fired three shots inside the building, but nobody was hurt.

Eveleth says the two men forced two employees to the back office where the money is kept. Police tell us they were driving a maroon Mercury Sable that's about ten years old.

Police are looking for the public's help in finding the two guys who held up the McDonald's. One guy was wearing a Longhorn ballcap. Police say they want to arrest the guys before they can become more violent. Lieutenant Eveleth says the suspects seemed like they had done this before.
