A man who fled Austin eight years ago has now been arrested pending cyber crimes involving a minor. Boris Augusto Alvarado was the subject of a cyber crimes investigation, undertaken by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, where he attempted to solicit sex from someone whom he believed was a 14-year-old girl. In December of last year the Attorney General's Office received information that Alvarado was living throughout Central and South America, and was residing in Ecuador at the time. Alvarado is now being detained in Miami pending his extradition to Bastrop County.
