Business group supports STAAR test standards

The Business community takes to the skies over the Capitol in support of the high STAAR Testing standards.

The Texas Association of Business Banner flew over the Capitol as the House and Senate Education committees were discussing the controversial testing system.  TAB President Bill Hammond’s message is that passing grades like 37-percent in Algebra 1 are unacceptable, "It's important that these senior level courses, we continue to keep these examinations.  Otherwise we go back to the bad old days when when the materials weren't being taught or learned."

The Banner read 'Sorry. Is 37 percent correct on algebra too hard?'
