An advocacy group has filed complaints against a few companies they whom they say have been abusing their workers.  Greg Casar with the Workers Defense Project says workers were denied water breaks and weren't getting their pay on time, "We don't think workers should have to file complaints should have to file complaints in order to be paid when they work many many hours a day to make sure these buidlings are completed in time for students to move into them.  And so we think it's imperative that the owners and developers of buildings start taking responsibility for the companies that they hire to get this work to get done."

Casar says the companies building 24 hundred Nueces and the new Callaway House condo projects in West Campus were the most recent offenders.
