APD looking for East Austin Burglars

The Austin Police Department is looking for a group of young men thought to  be behind a string of robberies throughout areas of East Austin over the  weekend.  According to authorities, four different areas east of Interstate 35 were  targeted by the suspects yesterday.  Starting at around 1:00 a.m. Sunday morning, a group of three to four men  with handguns, wearing "Jason-style" hockey masks, were said to have robbed a  person of a wallet, cell phone and guitar in the 800 block of Lambie Street. Later that hour, the men allegedly robbed a pizza delivery driver in the 2100  block of East 10th Street. Sometime after 2:00 a.m., the suspects robbed someone  of a cell phone near East 10th and Waller Streets.

At approximately 3:00 a.m., another robbery was reported in the 1400 block of  East 3rd Street. APD has not released the details on what was stolen in this  incident.  According to APD, victims have described the suspects as Hispanic teens.  Authorities also say the robbers appeared to have used different vehicles in all  of the instances.  APD is asking anyone with information to contact them.
