Report shows almost 2 million undocumented immigrants are living in Texas

A new report by the "Pew Hispanic Center" shows that there are 1.75 million illegals living in Texas. Unlike other states, which saw a dip in 2007, study author Jeff Passel says Texas has seen a steady rise, "It had a steady upward trent in the number of unauthorized immigrants living in the state reaching about 1.7 million by 2012."

He says immigrants are shifting their migration paths from Arizona to deep south Texas, because of our state’s stronger economy.
