State's controversial Cancer Research Institute gets a second chance

The State's controversial Cancer Prevention and Research Institute has awarded 6 new product development grants and 11 new research grants totaling about $86,000,000. State Senator Jane Nelson authored the oversight legislation allowing CPRIT to continue with its mission. The former CPRIT Chief Commercialization Officer Jerry Cobb is facing charges for circumventing the previous grant application process. He announced this week he's retained the services of High Powered Attorney Rusty Hardin.
