High school students in Manor have pooled their money to create a special holiday memory for some disadvantaged kindergarten and first graders.
In fact, every classroom in the district's three high school campuses have adopted a student, and today they're throwing a party for them with food and presents off of their wish list. Becky Lott is the director Student and Family Support Services, "This is a way for them to give back and reap the rewards of this great opportunity to provide service for students in need."
Lott says the Adopt a Kid program is in its 18th year which means some of those high school students were recipients of the goodwill themselves.
