An incoming state lawmaker wants to arm teachers at Texas schools

A state lawmaker wants armed 'Marshals' at Texas schools.  Republican State Representative elect Jason Villalba is proposing a bill in the state legislature this week.  Villalba says it will be called the 'The Protection of Children Act'.  The proposed legislation comes after Governor Rick Perry has suggested that teachers should have the ability to carry concealed weapons at public schools.  Villalba says the school 'Marshals' would be existing faculty members who have concealed handgun licenses.  The bill would allow all but not force school districts to assign trained Marshals for every 400 students.
