Austin firefighters have been able to extinguish a large fire at a fourplex on Alpheus Avenue.  According to fire officials, During an aggressive search in heavy fire conditions, fire crews located a victim who has been pronounced dead on scene.  An additional victim was treated at the scene by EMS. 

An investigation into a cause is expected to take several hours.
