The Newtown Connecticut tragedy was on the minds of the gun owners who gathered at the Capitol. Texas State Rifle Association Director Alice Tripp told the group that the shooting has become political. The gun owners assembled at the Capitol to rally lawmakers. Unfortunately for them, both the House and Senate had already adjourned for the weekend on Wednesday and Thursday.
