Authorities search for driver involved in fatal East Manor crash

Manor Police and State Troopers are searching for a driver involved in a fatal vehicle collision in East Manor. The accident took place on Old Kimbro Road by Highway 290 early this morning. A car carrying five people (four adults, one infant) was stopped at a stop sign when a truck, travelling at a high rate of speed, struck the car from behind. Officials say that the female driver of the car struck was killed in the crash. Three adult male passengers in the car were transported to UMC Brackenridge with injuries, and the child was taken to Dell Children's Hospital with injuries.

The driver of the truck who struck the car fled the scene of the crash. DPS troopers and Manor Police officers say they have a lead on the case and are looking for the driver.
