Comal County teen hopes for leniency after FB remark lands him in jail

The teen at the center of an alleged terroristic threat on Facebook has a court appearance today, and his family is hoping for the best.

Justin Carter has been in the Comal County Jail for more than four months, after someone in Canada allegedly reported he had posted on Facebook that he would shoot up a school full of kids.  His father, Jack says Justin also put 'LOL' and 'JK' by it, but the court didn't think it was funny and raised his bail from 250 thousand to a half million dollars and offered prison time.

Carter says his son has never been in trouble with the law and all authorities found in his home was a computer no guns, no diary, no plans for a shooting.  He says thousands have signed an online petition which they hope to present to the judge today to get him out.
