HOUSTON (AP) - Police have canceled an Amber Alert after finding a missing Houston 2-year-old and arresting a family friend accused of abducting the child.

Houston police found Alizae Rene Mata late Thursday at an apartment complex with 22-year-old Jessenia Saldana.

Alizae and Saldana had not been seen since Wednesday when the two left to run errands. Police issued an Amber Alert Thursday after Saldana allegedly missed a planned meeting with Alizae's mother.

The television station says Houston police arrested Saldana at the scene and that she now faces a kidnapping charge.
