EL PASO, Texas (AP) - A fourth man has been sentenced to prison over a 2009 West Texas drug-related kidnapping and killing in which the victim was shot and his hands cut off.
23-year-old Cesar Pineda must serve 20 years in federal prison. Pineda pleaded guilty to conspiring to kidnap, kill or maim in a foreign country.
Sergio Saucedo was snatched from outside his Horizon City home in what investigators say involved a botched drug deal. His body was dumped in nearby Ciudad Juarez, Mexico.
A federal jury in El Paso in 2011 convicted Rafael Vega and Cesar Obregon-Reyes of kidnapping and conspiracy. Both received life prison terms.
Omar Obregon Ortiz pleaded guilty to conspiracy and was sentenced to eight years in prison.
Pineda was sentenced Friday.
