HOUSTON (AP) - Authorities say two people were taken to the hospital after a car hit a school bus in a Houston intersection.
Houston police spokeswoman Jodi Silva says the driver of the car was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries following the Friday morning accident.
Houston school district spokeswoman Denisse Cantu says one of the three students aboard the bus was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The other two students were evaluated by paramedics at the scene and released. The bus driver was not injured.
Silva says the school bus was preparing to make a left turn when the vehicle that witnesses said was traveling at a high rate of speed hit the left side of the bus. Police are continuing to investigate.
