Boy, 11, killed in Texas Panhandle crash


AMARILLO, Texas (AP)-- An 11-year-old boy is dead after a car crash in the Texas Panhandle. The Texas Department of Public Safety says the boy was killed Friday by a pickup truck driving on an Interstate 27 access road near Amarillo. The driver told troopers two boys ran across the road and in front of his truck. The driver said he hit one boy as he looked for the other. The boy was pronounced dead at an area hospital.

There was no further information or details on whether the driver would face charges.
