Classes to resume after zip gun found at school

KATY, Texas (AP) - Classes are set to resume at a Houston-area high school where a student was taken into custody after a zip gun was found following the evacuation of the building.

The Katy school district said on its website that students were set to return to class Tuesday at Seven Lakes High School. The school was evacuated on Monday morning after the district said a "perceived threat" was identified.

Then the Harris County sheriff's office bomb squad was dispatched after a "potential explosive device" was found.

By late afternoon, the district said one device, the zip gun, was found. The district described a zip gun as "any device altered to propel an object designed to cause harm."

The district about 20 miles west of Houston.
