FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) - Thousands of people filled the streets of downtown Fort Worth for the parade that helps kick off the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo.

The Fort Worth All Western Parade on Saturday featured more than 200 entries, including vintage trolleys, horse-drawn carriages, marching bands and area riding clubs.

The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports that parade-goers lined the 18-block route that started outside the Tarrant County Courthouse.

The stock show opened Friday and runs through Feb. 8. The parade is held each year on the first Saturday of the show.

The annual parade inspires devotion in longtime fans. Frank Rush of Carrollton, who has driven wagons in 48 past parades, says, "It gets in your blood. We never miss it."
