Dallas ISD to offer free meals to all students

When the school bell rings next month, Dallas ISD will be the largest district in Texas to offer free meals to all students, including breakfast and lunch.

The free meals are part of the Community Eligibility Program, which is a U.S. Department of Agriculture program that’s been around since 1980.

The meals will be offered to all 160,000 DISD students, regardless of family income.
