Grand juror in Perry case appeared to attend Democratic convention
Some conservatives were fuming Wednesday following revelations that one of the members of the grand jury that indicted Gov. Rick Perry last week seemed to have attended the Texas Democratic State Convention in June.
Perry, his lawyers and supporters have said repeatedly that the prosecution was political. Travis County tilts Democratic, though the special prosecutor for the case, Michael McCrum, is a lawyer in San Antonio with no clear political leanings and the judge presiding over the case is Republican.
