How to help Austin Pets Alive! this week

Wondering how you can help during this crazy, hectic week? Our friends over at Austin Pets Alive! have been taking in a lot of animals from Houston and the cities that were hit by Hurricane Harvey. Their staff, volunteers, and many Austinites have stepped up and provided a ton of help for the shelter, but there are more pets coming in and there's still a lot we can do.

APA! has been updating their Hurricane Harvey Help page on their website with ways you can help them out. "For APA!, the repercussions of this hurricane will last for weeks, if not months," it says on the page. Right now they really need funding (donate here), long-term fosters, volunteers, and adoptions.

They always apprecite in-kind donations but they noted that they are running out of room right now. They still need large plastic or metal bins with lids to store food, leashes and martingale collars of any size, cat litter, full-size indoor brooms, cat beds, and liquid laundry soap.

Keep an eye on their Hurricane Harvey Help page and their Facebook page for updates. Thank you for helping our furry friends!
