Toll Road Planning Group Gives Leader Pay Raise

11/20/2007

Near the end of a controversial year for the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization, its board granted the CAMPO Executive Director, Michael Aulick, a three-percent pay raise.

"I don't comment on personnel," says State Senator Kirk Watson. "That's why we're allowed to have executive sessions. We gave him the three percent."

The pay increase is considered nominal in most cases, and is relatively equal to a cost-of-living increase, which is common for most companies to grant employees after a favorable evaluation. Aulick led CAMPO through a proposed reorganzation of the planning group's board of directors. It has been his research and guidance which has provided the board with information necessary for most of their decisions in 2007.
