A representative of the Austin City Limits music festival stated in an email Tuesday morning that the festival will now be offering ticket refunds for those who no longer wish to attend due to concerns after the fatal shooting in Las Vegas, Austin360 reports.

The festival kicks off this Friday, less than a week after a lone gunman opened fire from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino, killing 59 and injuring over 500 people who were attending the Route 91 Harvest festival on the Las Vegas strip Sunday night.

Authorities are working to reassure festival goers that their safety is a top priority, sharing with the Statesman earlier this week that there will be an increase in security measures this year that includes new bans on bags larger than 18 L, umbrellas, and inflatable furniture. Be sure to check here for a full list of this year’s banned and prohibited items.
