This is the dramatic moment a woman was seriously hurt after being hit by a car during a zombie walk at the Comic Con in San Diego.

The crowd, which were all dressed as the living dead, then went crazy and began to attack the family’s car that had struck and seriously injured the pedestrian.

San Diego police say the crowd chased the car until the driver saw a police officer and stopped.

There have been various accounts as to what prompted the frightening incident.

Police have said that about 5:30 p.m., a couple and their children, who all are deaf, were stopped as the zombie march passed by their car.
