Today on the Todd and Don Show:
President Trump changes a change of opinion of Afghanistan, but provides only a vague plan of action for America’s longest running war. With the varying claims of possible troop deployment numbers, there is no confirmed exit strategy or cost.
Bloomberg Claims baby boomers are staying in their larger homes longer instead of downsizing, therefore crowding millennials out of the market. The claim is that previous generations of Americans have raised their families in larger suburban homes and then moved down into a smaller home once they became empty nesters. If homes do not turn over, it is assumed that the available housing stock will not meet demand and will lead to a rise in home prices.
Trump Announces a visit to Arizona, and Divers have found the remains of missing sailors in the flooded compartments of the USS John McCain.
Elon Musk claims anti-killer robot laws are needed. Musk claims that “Lethal autonomous weapons threaten to become a third revolution in warfare.” Musk says to avoid an almost terminator like future ( ok that’s a bit of an exaggeration on our part,) governments should agree to and pass regulations to ban their production.
FedEx announces plans to expand same day delivery options in Austin. While this may be advantageous for the consumer, Don is afraid that this change isn’t for the better.
A master plan for Congress Avenue suggests major changes for the “Main Street of Texas”. The plan would include expanding sidewalks and adding bike lanes.
Austin parents were in for a surprise when they learned nurses in elementary school have been replaced with Tele-nurses. The move, in partnership with Seaton, should save money for the school districts while preserving the level of care.
Former Marines, Derrick Higgs, of Black Tree discusses tips to stay safe. We learn from the conversation that Don has never been in a fight. If only there was someone who could give him some tips.
