The Texas Tribune Festival

Sept. 27-29, 2018
Thursday, September 27, 2018
Texas Tribune

The Texas Tribune Festival is a three-day event for people who are passionate about the issues that affect all Texans. #TribFest18 will include discussions on the impact of President Trump’s first two years; what Texas’ changing demographics mean for everyday Texans; and the 2018 – and even 2020 – elections; plus discussions of the most pressing issues in public and higher education, criminal justice, immigration, health care, energy, the environment and transportation.

High-profile speakers from 2017 included important newsmakers such as U.S. Sens. John Cornyn and Ted Cruz, R-Texas; Cecile Richards, outgoing president of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America and the Planned Parenthood Action Fund; Beto O’Rourke, Texas congressman and candidate for U.S. Senate; U.S. Reps. Will Hurd, R-Helotes, and Joaquin Castro, D-San Antonio; Texas Land Commissioner George P. Bush; Texas Education Commissioner Mike Morath; the New York Times’ Maggie Haberman; NPR’s Mara Liasson; MSNBC’s Katy Tur; and Larry Wilmore, comedian and host of the “Black on the Air” Podcast. Our program for the 2018 Festival, which we'll announce Aug. 1, is shaping up to be even better.
