APD IDs North Austin bombing victim
Austin police are releasing more details in the case of an explosion in North Austin Friday morning March 2. APD's Joseph Chacon says investigators believe it was a targeted attack and that the bomb was in the form of a package.
However, he continued, while the bomb killed Anthony Stephan House, 39, Chacon said it is not known if House was the intended target.
APD along with members of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is still investigating how the package got House's home and why.

Deceased: Anthony Stephan House, Black male, DOB 06/15/1978
On Friday, March 2, 2018 at approximately 6:55 a.m., Austin 911 received a call about an explosion at 1112 Haverford Dr. Austin Fire and EMS arrived on scene and immediately began attending to Anthony Stephan House, who was critically injured. The victim was transported to Round Rock Hospital here he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at 7:48 a.m. The death is being investigated as suspicious.
APD homicide investigators partnered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives’ (ATF) post-blast team to process the scene and talk with multiple witnesses. Based on information gathered so far, we believe this is an isolated incident and that there is no continuing threat to the community.
