APD looking for driver who hit boy on bicycle and ran

On Friday, August 1, 2014 at approximately 12:45 p.m., APD officers responded to and auto vs. bicycle crash Airport Blvd and E 12th St. A juvenile was riding his bicycle eastbound in the crosswalk. The juvenile had a white crossing light giving him the right of way. A maroon Chevrolet Lumina was traveling westbound on E. 12th St and turned southbound onto Airport Blvd and struck the juvenile on the bicycle. The juvenile was knocked off his bicycle. The driver of the Chevrolet initially stopped and exited his vehicle but then fled the scene.

The suspect is described as:

Hispanic male
Approx. 30 years old
Heavy build
Silver nose ring-piercing

The first 3 letters of the license plate are CSX.

The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries.
