A multi-agency operation conducted on October 19 led to the arrest of William Baker and Tony Moore. Baker and Moore were found to be in possession of stolen firearms from Blackland Gun Works in Hutto.

Baker and Moore were arrested by the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office during a traffic stop in Manor. Both were booked into the Travis County Jail and charged with theft of firearm(s).

Assisting agencies: Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, Manor Police Department, Hutto Police Department, Department of Public Safety and Travis County Sheriff’s Office.

“The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office along with federal and local partners will track down and bring to justice those who prey on local businesses and our community for illegal criminal activity. Specifically weapon thefts on a large scale, as this crime. How many times do we need to echo that there is a new Sheriff in town! Which, by the way, his crime detectives will find you,” said Sheriff Robert Chody.
