Austin City Council gets a peek at what the City Auditor will be up to this next fiscal year.

In an effort to foster transparency and accountability in city government, the auditor will probe affordable housing tenant selection to make sure developers are meeting city goals. They'll also look into how the city coordinates right-of-ways to maximize traffic flow and how cops respond to people with special needs. Seven more new audits will be conducted and ten from last year will be completed, most of which deal with affordability and economic opportunity.
