Trying to help keep their patients off an opioid addiction habit, Central Texas Based St David’s Hospitals are rolling out a new program to limit opioid use. South Austin Medical’s Dr. David Fleeger says they are using new techniques and non-opioid drugs to control pain after surgery.
Fleeger says, that matches up with other health practices that are helping people get healthy faster after surgery, out of the hospital quicker, and away from addiction.
