Businesses Need Online Presence

Google has released it’s annual economic impact report and Texas makes a big impact. Google reports even in tough economic times, small businesses and nonprofits throughout the United States are benefiting from the continued expansion of the ecommerce industry, according to an annual Economic Impact Report released this week by Google.

The growth is creating new opportunities for web-based companies, as well as brick-and-mortar establishments. In 2013 alone, Google helped provide nearly $5.7 billion of economic activity for more than 116,000 Texas businesses and nonprofits. A recent study from Boston Consulting Group found that American consumers spent over $480 billion last year on products they researched online and purchased offline.

BuildASign.com was selected by Google to serve as the Texas case study example of a business that utilizes commerce to achieve better results with limited resources. To view the full Texas report, visit http://www.google.com/economicimpact/reports/tx.html.
