Child Predator Arrested in Kyle

The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force says Martin Michael Flores, Jr., 26, was arrested Saturday afternoon by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force at his house in the 600 block of Masonwood Drive in Kyle without incident. Flores was initially sought pursuant to a warrant that was filed by the Austin Police Department in September for an aggravated sexual assault of a child, a first degree felony.
According to the affidavit, it is alleged that Flores recorded himself on his mobile phone sexual assaulting a 7-year old child in the 6100 block of Calmer Cove in Austin.
Early Saturday morning, task force officers got word that indicated Flores may be living on Masonwood Drive in Kyle. Members of the task force began surveillance in the area and were able to quickly establish a residence that was known to Flores.
Task Force officers surrounded and approached the home and were not met with any resistance from anyone inside the houe. Flores was then apprehended.
Flores has a criminal past that includes narcotics possession, weapons offenses, fraud, and bail jumping.
Flores was transported and remanded to the custody of the Travis County Jail pending further court appearances.
