Cornyn background check bill getting new support

Texas U.S. Senator John Cornyn filed a bill, called the Fix NICS act, following the Southerland Springs church shooting.

After last week's school shooting in Florida, that bill is getting a new look and new support from President Trump.  The President and Cornyn have met about the bill, which would ensure more information is sent to the background check system so people buying guns are more fully vetted.
