Cutting Traffic congestion in Austin, better Texas economy

As Central Texas traffic congestion continues to grow, one Austin state lawmaker is asking her fellow lawmakers to do something about it. Representative Donna Howard testifies before the House Select Committee on Transportation Funding about how Austin and the Central Texas Region have fueled the economic growth and job creation in the state but that could come to a halt if we don't address the congestion issue, "Austin has been deemed as having the fourth worst congestion in the nation. As we all know, this is something that impacts every citizen. It degrades our quality of life, our environment and limits the opportunities for employment." Howard says the state must act since it doesn't appear we're going to get any help on the federal level.
