Dukes charges dropped

All charges stemming from a January indictment against State Representative Dawna Dukes have been dropped by the Travis County D.A.

"Those charges are dismissed with predjudice, meaning they will not be refiled," said Dukes' Attorney Dane Ball.

Ball said the abuse of official capacity and tampering with government record charges were baseless to begin with, and he was ready to go to trial to prove that if necessary.
