More people have died from the flu in Travis County this year than in the last ten years. Travis County health authority Doctor Phil Huang said kids have been spared but 38 people have perished this season from the virus.

The majority of those people were age 80 and over.

20 people died from the flu four years ago and that included two children, according to Austin Public Health.
