Housing costs squeeze Austin renters, homeowners

Harvard University’s Joint Center for Housing Studies released its annual “State of the Nation’s Housing” report and some of the findings are quite sobering, particularly the number of households that are burdened by monthly housing costs.   Austin’s numbers are nothing to write home about, but there are far worse markets, even in Texas, in terms of how much household income is earmarked for housing.   http://www.bizjournals.com/austin/blog/real-estate/2014/07/harvard-study-housing-costs-squeeze-austin-renters.html
