ID sought on body found in Austin-area cornfield

Investigators are trying to identify a body discovered in a Central Texas cornfield amid the search for a missing 87-year-old man. The Travis County Sheriff's Office says searchers on Monday afternoon located a body in a field near Austin. Spokesman Roger Wade says the person was not immediately identified. No cause of death was released. Volunteers helped search for Antonio Barboa Perea, who was reported missing Sunday morning. Authorities say the elderly man suffered from dementia and he was believed to be on foot. The body was found in an area where the search for Perea was concentrated. The Texas Department of Public Safety canceled a Silver Alert for Perea Monday night.
