Man Killed, Another Seriously Injured, in Early Morning Accident on South Congress

Austin Emergency Medical Services responded to a fatal car accident in South Austin in the early hours Monday morning.

The accident happened in the 6500 block of S. Congress Avenue and W. William Cannon Drive.

One man in his 30's was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other man, in his 20's, was transported to St. Davids South Austin Hospital with serious injuries.

South Congress Avenue is shut in both directions as police investigate.
