Man sought in two armed robberies at North Austin hotels

A Sheriff’s Detective is asking for help in identifying and locating a Robbery suspect who has committed crimes in hotels in North Travis County.

The suspect is described as a black man in his late teens or early 20’s. He is about 5’9”, thin build, with his hair in short cornrows. He was last seen wearing dark colored pants, dark colored hoodie with a white draw string and black shoes.

On July 10, 2014, at 9:45am, the suspect entered the Holiday Inn, at 14620 IH 35 and went into a room where he confronted a housekeeper and robbed her at knifepoint.

At 10:35am, that same day, according to an Austin Police Department report, the man pointed a knife at the housekeeper at a nearby hotel but she managed to get away unharmed.
