Missing teen found safe in San Marcos

Update:  Missing teen Cassidy Jae Castro has been located safely.  Police are interviewing an 18-year-old male she was with when she was found. Police credited media reports for assisting in locating the teenager. More information will be provided when it is available.

Authorities say 15-year-old Cassidy Jae Castro was last seen in the 100 block of Autumn Cove in San Marcos around 3:45 yesterday morning and they have not ruled out the possibility of foul play.
Castro is described as 5’3”, 115 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.  Before her disappearance, she had been using several apps including Snapchat, Instagram and Twitter.  Her cousin reported she had asked to be picked up in a Snapchat message earlier that morning and that someone was coming to get her.
The girl’s last contact with friends occurred about 4:30 a.m. Monday and since then, no additional information has been received. Interviews with the teenager’s friends have not produced any additional information.
