Parents holding signs asking for safe schools stood across the street from Pflugerville High School this morning as children came to class.  Communities Supporting Safe School co-founder Catherine Prystup said this group started Thursday night after the latest school shooting in Florida.

She said we've already tried calling, emailing and faxing lawmakers to try to get them to do something, so this is a new effort they're starting.

Prustep hopes to do this at more schools to show students that people care about their safety.
