Pedestrian Fatality

According to eyewitnesses, a pedestrian was killed when a car hit him while walking in front of the Extended Stay Hotel,  8221 North I-35, in North Austin.  They say the sound was like a boom.  They heard a car drive up onto the sidewalk and say something fly--which was the black man, who died on the scene.  Two men came out of the hotel and say the driver of the car try to run away.  They tackled him and held him down until police arrived.
